Nexus 6 review

NEXUS 6:THE LOLLIPOP BEAST UNLEASHED

Just a couple of months ago google unveiled its next generation nexus phone and tablet along with the biggest  and the most awaited android update namely Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Nexus 6 became the first phone to run Android lollipop
Lets have a closer look at this beast
Photo:
Nexus 6 is a 6.0 inches phablet powered by Snapdragon 805 soc with a 2k amoled display ,3gb Ram.the phone packs a 13mp rear and 2mp front camera.

Design:
Nexus 6 doesn’t lag behind in terms of premium quality, the phone has a metal frame and is water resistant which is something which you would expect from a 44k phone. It shares a similar design as the next gen moto series or you can say it a streatched moto x 2014! It has front mounted loud stereo speakers giving you great audio quality! The bigger and ticker design of phone might be a hitch but that’s just something you might get used to and it doesn’t steal the premium quality
Display:
the phone packs a 6 inch 2k amoled display .It gives you 493 pixel density that indicates the pixels would be almost invisible to naked eye! The term AMOLED itself indicates the great quality of display. The display has infinite contrast ratio, even the word “excellent” is less for its viewing angles, the colours in the display are vibrant and well saturated.the display is protected by a layer of corning gorilla glass 3 which is highly scratch resistant and protects the display to a great extent so rough use shouldn’t be a problem.
Performance:
The phone packs Snapdragon 805 Soc wiz 2.7ghz quad core krait 450 cores and with adreno 420 graphics and powered with 3gb of ram. A phone with these kind of specs you will surely forget what “lag” is even with heavy multitasking and HD games running in background the phone will run like a charm. While speaking of HD games it would run almost every game with zero lag or glitch. The phone tops the most well known benchmarks “antutu 5” And “Geekbench” defeating note 4 wiz powered by the same chipset ,galaxy s5 and iphone 6 and 6 plus by a significant amount.SO basically this phone is a beast in performance!
UI power of the lollipop:
Nexus 6 is the first phone to be released with androids latest version 5.0 lollipop.
th e salient features of lollipop are:
1.Totally new UI called Material design and its something very very amazing when it comes to look and feel !Each and every component is animated the status bar quick settings panel the recent panel and a hell lot of changes come with loolipop which change the whole feel of android from theold holo ui
2.Runtime is changed to ART ahead of time(aot) compiling it gives much better performance than the old dalvik which was just in time compiling(jit)
3.Project voltanis:hough the phone packs  3200 mah giant battery the project voltanis enhances it wiz one of the key feature of lollipop i.e. to boost battery life
Though the great minimalistic UI comes with a price it steals not much but a handful of options available for eg.The Settings app had toggle buttons besides wifi bletooth etc which now you have to go inside the that option and enable it .But the great ui is worth this compromise!
here are some screenshots
Camera-

camera is a stunning 13mp with ring dual flash which is excellent
It has good saturation of colours and is great in low light.there are others with 16mp in competion too but 13mp is not something that will dissappoint you
Battery-the phablet is bumped with a 3220 mah huge battery plus android lollpop optiomisation which will edure a heavy use of a full day (or may be more)!
Price factor:
the phone though is a bit heavily priced we were used to see the nexus series in 20-30k range but this a a heavy lift to 44k  but is still cheaper than the samsungs note 4 with similar specs
Conclusion:

Though the phone is a bit pricey the phones is well eqipped with features and wont dissappoint you
i rate it as follows:
design-7/10
camera-9/10
price-7/10
performance-9/10
user interface-9/10
