Motorola has been diligent in updating its recent devices to Lollipop soon after Google released it. In fact, some devices, such as the second generation MOTO X and MOTO G , got the update even before some of the Nexus devices. However, while almost all the other Motorola devices are now running on Lollipop, the first generation MOTO X is still on KitKat.
